Riverton High School junior Janeen Buss received her second-year academics award pin from activities director Keith Bauder as Braxton Hamilton and Azalea Hanway waited their turn to receive their honors. The students were three of 39 to receive their pins Tuesday during awards night in Wolverine Gym.

County commissioners on Tuesday complained to Shoshone National Forest supervisor Rebecca Aus about a perceived lack of participation in the forest plan revision process. “We’ve always treated you with respect, and we felt like this planning process was going awry,” County Commission chairman Doug Thompson said during the meeting that attracted 17 audience members.

St. Stephen’s Indian School art teacher Chris Rakisits painted the school’s eagle mascot onto the cheek of fifth-grader McClain Gardner, 12, during a yard sale and carnival on Saturday. The fund-raiser helped fifth-graders pay for a trip to Washington, D.C., planned for this fall.
