Robert E. Bappe, 81 of Lexington, Neb., died on Sunday, June 14, 2009, at Gothenburg (Neb.) Memorial Hospital Long Term Care. He was the father of Mark Bappe of Pavillion. Funeral services were Friday, June 19, at the Evangelical Free Church in Lexington with the Rev. Duane Russell officiating. Burial, with military honors, was in the Greenwood Cemetery at Lexington.

Rosary will be at 7 p.m. on Sunday, June 21, at St. Stephen’s. A wake will follow at the home of Bernice and William Miller, 476 Left Hand Ditch Road, Arapahoe.

Cremation has taken place and Mrs. Davidson’s cremated remains will be buried next to her husband at Lakeview Cemetery in Cheyenne at a later date.

According to his wishes, his ashes will be scattered over the South Pacific and a memorial service in Lander will be held at a later date.
