Riverton library to show film, host reading event for writers

The Riverton Branch Library will continue its second annual Native American Film Series on Wednesday with "Winter in the Blood."

The film is a "wild and darkly comic adventure shot on the Hi-Line of Montana -- in Havre, Chinook and on the Fort Belknap and Rocky Boy reservations," according to a press release.

The film will be shown at 7 p.m. in the Community Room. It is free to the public, and one audience member will win a copy of the film.

Westword Writers and the library will present an "Anything" Reading at 7 p.m. Thursday.

Writers who would like to read their poetry, short stories or beginnings to a novel or memoir in front of an audience are encouraged attend and register before Thursday.
