Kayle Addison scored 33 points in a 50-point victory against Meeteetse.
The Lady Eagles threw a shutout in the third period en route to a 72-22 blowout of Meeteetse in Class 1-A Northwest action on Friday.
The win with Saturday's 89-51 win over Dubois leaves the Eagles all alone atop the conference and solidifies their first place ranking in Class 1-A.
St. Stephen's dominated Friday afternoon's game from the opening tip and at times it looked more like a layup drill as senior Trinity Goggles dominated the defensive boards and made quick half-court outlet passes or long, full-court arching rainbow assists to wide-open teammates.
The Eagles led, 37-18, at the half, but it was a 25-0 run in the third quarter that put the running clock in motion and ended the game quickly.
Meeteetse was in slow motion compared to the fast-paced Eagles.Kayle Addison hit acrobatic shots throughout the first half, including a spinning, two-handed backwards layup that brought the crowd to its feet. She finished with 33 points, leading all scorers.
Perhaps one play was indicative of the Eagles' effort in the contest.
Goggles raced down a long rebound and threw it over her head as she neared the half-court line.As she tossed the ball backwards, she slid up the floor like a seal, but the ball hit Whisper SunRhodes perfectly and she tossed a bounce pass to Addison for another easy layup.
"We had a slow start, but when we get wound up and going we can score quickly," said St. Stephen's head coach Mike Redman. "We score off turnovers and keep pressing the ball."
