Royce Perry of Fort Washakie died Wednesday, July 26, 2017. He was 43.
Traditional funeral Services are at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 1, at the Ron and Gloria Perry Residence, 12 Driskell Lane in Fort Washakie, with Hugh White Clay and Arlen Shoyo officiating. Evening service and wake are at 7 p.m. Monday, July 31, at the Family Residence. Interment will be at Sacajawea Cemetery.
Royce Perry was born Nov. 11, 1973 in Lander, the son of Ronald Perry Sr. and Gloria Perry.He was a lifelong resident of the Wind River Indian Reservation. He attended schools at Ft. Washakie Elementary, Lander Valley High School and graduated from Flandreau Indian School in South Dakota.
He is survived by parents, Ron and Gloria Perry; sisters Olivia Perry (Kory McLaughlin), Tanya Hebah, Joanne Brings Thunder, Sunshine Howell, Jessica Redman, Marlene Gilbert, Lori Ella Pandoah; brothers Ronald D Perry Jr. "Buster"; aunt, Helen (Dolly), (Will) Morey, Margaret Flying, Katherine Johnson, Peggy Surrell, Joyce Hebah, Lomita Tillman, Alta Perry, Elizabeth Tinno, Rosie Pandoah and Cecelia Young Bear; daughter, Juanita Perry and Simone Papse; son, Tyrell Perry, Royce Perry Jr. and Talon Papse; grandson Andraes Perry; nieces Mersades, Jalyssah, Alyssah and Jessau McLaughlin; Deanna and Rheanna Redman and Sophie Sesseques; nephews Coldy Perry and Greyson and Xavior Redman; uncles, Phillip "Truby" and Roanld Stiffarm, Harver Tinno and Lee Perry and numerous nieces nephews and cousins; and families of Perry, Stiffarm, Shortman, White Clay and Tinno.
He was preceded in death by grandparents Paul and Mae Stiffarm, and John and Genevieve Perry; aunts Louise Jones and Wanda Kennah; uncles John Jr., Raynord and Delford Perry, Al and Emerson Stiffarm.
