Worried about the impact of eclipse visitors in the wild

To me, the most important part of the eclipse information concerning the crowds was what they were going to do to the mountains and campgrounds.

In town, there are garbage trucks and dumpsters, but in the back country I fear we are going to be in for a hellacious mess.

I took my backpacking and fishing trip into the Wind Rivers already this year before the eclipse, and I am glad I did. Great place to see the eclipse, no doubt, but I am worried about the impact of all those extra people.
