Kaylie Gopp has largely played second-fiddle to Riverton teammate Josie Dike this season, as the latter has dominated most races she's competed in, while the former dutifully grinds outs results, as well.
However, on Friday in Cody, it was Gopp who took center stage on the top step of the podium, winning a pair of events.
First, Gopp was victorious in the 100-yard butterfly in a time of 1:07.64, then prevailed in the 100-yard backstroke with an effort of 1:06.38.
Jordan Lewis also joined Gopp on the victory stand with a win in the 100-yard breaststroke in 1:18.96.
Dike wasn't completely left out of the party, as she teamed with Gopp, Lewis and Aspen Treber to finish second in the 200-yard medley relay in 2:03.71.
On Saturday, the Lady Wolverines remained in Park County with a date at the Powell Invitational.
Gopp was once again a winner in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 1:06.58 and was second in the 100-yard backstroke (1:05.09), runner-up to Lander's Maria Kulow, who won in 1:05.09.
Dike's best finish of the weekend was a second-place result in the 200-yard individual medley in 2:26.58.
The Lady Wolverines finished fifth in the team standings with 142 points, behind winners Lander, who posted 278.
Riverton will next compete at the Rawlins Invitational on Thursday, followed by a meet in Green River on Saturday.
