Robert "Bob" Hehr, 66, of Riverton, passed away Friday, Aug. 25, 2017, at SageWest Health Care at Riverton.A celebration of life will be heldat 11 a.m.Friday, Sept. 22, 2017,at The Dennison Lodge, 909 Ramshorn Drive, in Dubois.

Marilou Music, 82, of Riverton, passed away Sept. 14, 2017, at Rocky Mountain Care in Evanston. A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 19,at Mount Hope Cemetery in Lander.

Riverton FFA is collecting household items, food, drinks and supplies for children, infants and school that will be delivered to Houston Red Cross shelters and other donation sites. Items should be dropped off at the James H. Moore Career Center, 851 College View Drive, by Sept. 29. The Wind River Cares AmeriCorps program is looking to recruit 10 young adults ages 18-24 who are currently unemployed and/or not attending school to serve the community. The Wind River Family and Community Health Care is organizing efforts to recruit members who will receive a living allowance and an educational award at the end of one year of service.The members will be provided comprehensive medical business office classroom and hands-on training. The training will be geared to provide technical skills for the AmeriCorps member(s) to become gainfully employed in the medical business arena. There will be a series of informational meetings to be held throughout the community for interested young adults.

A free community baby shower for expectant mothers and new parents in Fremont County will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Fremont County Heritage Hall. The Fremont County Coalition for Pregnant and Parenting Families has teamed up with WYhealth by Optum to host the event for expectant moms and new parents of children age 3 and under. This fun, family-friendly event will feature free information and presentations about important prenatal and well-baby care information, free gifts and refreshments. A Foster Care Awareness event from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Great Plains Hall parking lot will be held by the Northern Arapaho Department of Family Services to recognize all current foster care providers. NADFS also hopes to recruit new applicants. Past and present foster care children are invited to enjoy snow cones, bounce houses, prizes, face painting and other activities. Local law enforcement and the Fort Washakie Fire Department will be present at the event.

Ribbon cutting and dedication ceremony for Community Entry Services's solar project, partially funded by Rocky Mountain Power's Blue Sky Customers and a grant from First Interstate Bank. The dedication will take place at 2 p.m. at 2441 Peck Ave. in Riverton. RSVP by Sept. 18 to Shawn Griffin, sgriffin@ces-usa.com

A dedication ceremony for The Nature Conservancy's Solar Project will be at 11 a.m. at 258 Main Street in Lander. RSVP by Monday, Sept. 18, to bcrouse@TNC.org.

In Fremont County Sheriff's Office reports Thursday:

-Deputies responded at about 7:15 a.m. Thursday to reports that a vehicle had passed a school bus in the 8600 block of Wyoming Highway 789 near Lander.

- Officials said the Wind River Police Department responded at about 8:30 a.m. Thursday to reports that dogs were attacking a cow at the intersection of Wyoming highways 789 add 136 just south of Riverton.

- Deputies are investigating a burglary reported at about 9:10 a.m. Thursday near Kinnear.

- Zachary Clark, 28, of Riverton, was arrested at about 3:20 p.m. Thursday in the 100 block of Left Hand Ditch Road near Arapahoe on a Los Angeles County, California, warrant for burglary. The arrest was tied to a call deputies had received at about 1:55 p.m. Thursday from a Wind River Police Department officer who had made contact with a vehicle that had expired plates; the officer said the three subjects inside of the vehicle were not enrolled tribal members.
