Becker, Meyer earn Kaiser awards

Aug 21, 2015 Staff

Dietrik Becker of Riverton High School and Keagan Meyer of Lander Valley High School each has received a $3,000 scholarship from the Kaiser Foundation.

The foundation awarded 12 additional scholarships to top graduating seniors from Wyoming high schools.

The awards can be renewed for an additional four years if the students meet certain academic standards.

Becker and Meyer were selected on the basis of merit, with special consideration given to their academic, extracurricular and community service achievements. Financial need was a strong consideration as well.

This is the 30th consecutive year the Kaiser Foundation has awarded scholarships to deserving Wyoming high school graduates. To date, the foundation's awards total more than $1.24 million.
