First field day at the river a success

Oct 27, 2015 Claudia Troxel, Pat Patterson and Tomi Kirkland, RHS

Last month Riverton High School began what we hope will become the annual Freshmen Academy Enrichment Day at the River. This field day provided cross-curricular activities combined with community service. Students rotated through different stations, including invasive species led by Mayor Lars Baker, water sampling, rock counts, s'mores, spreading wood chips, Rotary, and sensory observations.

Our thanks to everyone who helped to make this such a successful day: The Riverton Rotary Club, OnSite Services, GLM Storage, the Riverton High School administration, and funding provided by the UPPER Wind Grant through the Wyoming Department of Education Math and Science Partnership Grant.
