District 25 has top enrollment in county; Dubois is smallest at 144

The Wyoming Department of Education has released statewide fall enrollment totals for 2015-2016.

The statistics show Riverton schools host the largest number of students in Fremont County, followed by Lander, Wyoming Indian, Fort Washakie, Arapahoe, Shoshoni, Pavillion and Dubois.

Almost 2,550 students were enrolled in Fremont County School District 25 last semester, including 212 kindergarteners, 197 first graders, 221 second graders, 184 third graders, 208 fourth graders, 195 fifth graders, 179 sixth graders, 180 seventh graders, 163 eighth graders, 212 freshmen, 194 sophomores, 196 juniors and 201 seniors.

In Fremont County School District 1 there were 1,680 students, including 139 kindergarteners, 139 first graders, 140 second graders, 155 third graders, 134 fourth graders, 126 fifth graders, 132 sixth graders, 123 seventh graders, 123 eighth graders, 132 freshmen, 132 sophomores, 88 juniors and 117 seniors.

About 630 students were enrolled at Fremont County School District 14, including 54 kindergarteners, 55 first graders, 51 second graders, 53 third graders, 56 fourth graders, 49 fifth graders, 50 sixth graders, 41 seventh graders, 57 eighth graders, 70 freshmen, 34 sophomores, 36 juniors and 26 seniors.

There was a sharp decline in enrollments from elementary to high school in Wyoming Indian and Fort Washakie schools. For Fremont County School District 21 fall enrollment reached a total of 505 students, including 49 kindergarteners, 47 first graders, 53 second graders, 53 third graders, 49 fourth graders, 59 fifth graders, 42 sixth graders, 64 seventh graders, 39 eighth graders, 23 freshmen, eight sophomores, 12 juniors and seven seniors.

The 426 students enrolled last fall in Fremont County School District 38 included 56 kindergarteners, 46 first graders, 45 second graders, 52 third graders, 44 fourth graders, 39 fifth graders, 42 sixth graders, 38 seventh graders, 34 eighth graders, 11 freshmen, eight sophomores, seven juniors and four seniors.

Fremont County School District 24 enrolled 391 students, including 42 kindergarteners, 34 first graders, 28 second graders, 27 third graders, 28 fourth graders, 38 fifth graders, 32 sixth, 25 seventh, 26 eighth, 27 freshmen, 26 sophomores, 29 juniors and 29 seniors.

There were 372 students at Fre-mont County School District 6, including 28 kindergarteners, 31 first graders, 26 second graders, 28 third graders, 30 fourth graders, 28 fifth graders, 21 sixth graders, 26 seventh graders, 37 eighth graders, 37 freshmen, 35 sophomores, 19 juniors and 26 seniors.

The smallest enrollment was in District 2, with 144 students including 12 kindergarteners, 11 first graders, 14 second, nine third, 11 fourth, eight fifth, 11 sixth, nine seventh, eight eighth, 13 ninth, 16 10th, 14 juniors and eight seniors.
