With only two more weekends before Christmas, the holiday season is now in full swing.
Fremont County organizations will continue to roll out more festive events over the next week, beginning Thursday, with St. Margaret's Christmas program at 7 p.m. at the Central Wyoming College Robert A. Peck Arts Center.
Students in kindergarten through fifth grade will present two plays: "The First Christmas" and "The Littlest Christmas Tree."
The Senior Citizen Christmas Luncheon is at 11:30 a.m. Friday at the Wind River High School Commons. The WRHS student council and ProStart class invite all seniors in the community to enjoy a roast with mashed potatoes and gravy, green bean casserole, hot rolls and pumpkin pie squares.
The Last Chance Craft Fair is from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Fremont County Fairgrounds. Vendors are expected from around the state. Santa will be available for pictures, and there will be cash drawings every hour. For more information call Cindy at 850-6538.
Santa's Workshop is from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Lander Children's Museum, 465 Lincoln St. in Lander. Admission is $3 for ages two and up.
Lander Library's Dickensian Holiday Open House is from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the library, 451 N. Second St. in Lander. Attendees are encouraged to dress up as their favorite Dickens characters or wear Victorian holiday gear. They can even get a green screen photo in the costume. There will be live music, refreshments, new books, audio books and movies.
For those who want to get out in the frosty air, old fashioned western chariot horse races are from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the Dubois Scenic Overlook Chariot Track on McKinley Drive. The Christmas celebration at First Assembly of God Church, 701 E. Adams Ave., is at 10:30 a.m. Sunday. The children's musical "Away in a Manger" will start things off, with a fellowship luncheon to follow. Everyone is welcome.
Sunnyside Church of the Nazarene's Christmas Cantata is at 10:30 a.m. Sunday at the church on Highway 26 east of Kinnear. "Hope was Born," arranged by Ed Kee, will be performed by The Sunnyside Church Choir.For more information call 856-6168.

The Imperial Orchestra concert, sponsored by Wyoming Suzuki String School, is at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Lander library, 451 N. Second St. in Lander.
The Riverton Branch Library, 1330 W. Park Ave., is hosting a Psychedelic Winter Glow Party 3-8 p.m. Wednesday to celebrate the Winter Solstice, which marks the longest night of the year and the point at which days start getting longer. The party is open to anyone 13-18 years old. There will be music, games, a black light poster competition, food and hot chocolate.
