SageWest Health Care at Lander is now fully functioning after closing some departments in May.

The facility was evacuated May 7 due to flood-related issues, leaving only parts of the hospital open for emergencies.

Because of the flood, the building sustained damage to its interior walls, drywall, windows, exterior caulking and the roof.

As a result, all inpatient services, including medical-surgical, intensive care, acute rehabilitation and behavioral health departments, were transferred to other facilities, like SageWest Health Care at Riverton.

For the past several months, SageWest Health Care has been working to restore services in Lander as repairs were made to the facility there.

Last month, the hospital announced its inpatient acute rehabilitation services were back open in Lander. It was the last department to be restored in the county seat.
