Blackburn gets jail time for damage to police cruiser

Cody Blackburn, who damaged a police cruiser while getting arrested in December, is set to serve seven months in jail after pleading guilty to property destruction and interference with a police officer.

While Blackburn was apprehended Dec. 11 on a warrant, he tried running -- and later fighting -- officer Billy Whiteplume.

When Blackburn was eventually wrestled into a Riverton police cruiser, he kicked out the window and damaged the door, ultimately causing $2,481 in expenses.
