Riverton man to prison for attack on wife

Apr 2, 2017 From staff and wire reports

Mitchell Wayne Mosqueda of Riverton was sentenced to 15 months of imprisonment on Monday for assault with a dangerous weapon with intent to do bodily harm.

In October, Mosqueda attacked his wife with a baseball bat and a piece of wood, causing "substantial bodily injury."

The U.S. had also originally charged him with breaking windows at St. Stephen's Indian School, but dropped that charge as part of a plea deal.

After serving his prison sentence, the 24-year-old will have three years of supervised release, and he is also ordered to pay $5,298.12 in restitution.
