Daniel Eggli joined eight others March 23 in begin sworn in as the 92nd graduating Wyoming Highway Patrol Academy Class.
At their ceremony, the new troopers they took their oaths of office and transitioned from their "Recruit" badges to their official badges in front of family and friends.
These troopers recently completed an intensive training period of instruction. During the Trooper Basic Academy, they were instructed in a variety of classes including firearms, commercial carrier training, physical training, Radar/LIDAR use, emergency vehicle operation, custody and control, crash investigation and others.
Eggli was born in Helena, Mont., but grew up in Lander where he graduated from Lander Valley High School in 2005.
Prior to joining Patrol, Eggli spent four years in law enforcement in Hot Springs County. Eggli has a wonder wife, two children, and enjoys backpacking, ornithology, motorcycling, and Vancouver Canucks hockey.
