Class motto good, but expanded one better

Jun 16, 2017 Sandra Bernati, Riverton

In reference to the editorial about the 2017 high school class mottoes, I was struck by the first one, which reads "Live the life you have imagined," said by Henry David Thoreau. He is a favorite of mine.

But how many high school kids have imagined very much except what is right in front of them? I sure didn't. If I could add one line to the Thoreau motto, it would read like this: "Take time to imagine a full life. Then live the life you have imagined."
