Ninth annual 'Festival of the Cowboys' in Crowheart is tomorrow

The 9th Annual Festival of the Cowboys kicks off at noon on Saturday, September 9, at Crowheart Big Wind Hall with a ranch rodeo, craft fair and music.

This year's featured artist is Jack Mease displaying western miniatures and braided tack.

Added events are bird programs. At 2 p.m., Pat Hnilick of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service will present "Trumpeter Swans of Bull Lake, Dinwoody and Diversion Dam Areas." At 5 p.m. Jon Mobeck of the Jackson Hole Wildlife Foundation will present "The Bluebird Project." An outdoor booth will feature a free raffle for children, informational brochures and sell beautiful bird pottery.

Everyone is invited to share their musical and craft talent. Craft vendors call 307 486-2238 to reserve your complimentary space. Other festivities include Dutch oven demos, great cowboy chow, silent auction, duck derby and family fun. Admission is free.
