LARAMIE, Wyo. (AP) -- The Wyoming men's basketball program has landed a junior college recruit. Nathan Sobey says he will transfer from Cochise College in Douglas, Ariz., to Wyoming. The 6-foot-3, 190-pound guard tells the Laramie Boomerang (http://bit.ly/HalzGM ) that he also drew recruiting interest from Weber State, Fresno State and San Diego. Sobey averaged 16.5 points, 6.9 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.8 steals per game last season on a Cochise College team that went 25-6 overall. He shot 47.6 percent from the field, including 31.6 percent from the 3-point arc, and 65.6 percent (80-of-122) from the free-throw line. Sobey is a native of Australia. The spring signing period runs from April 11 through May 16, and Sobey said he would sign with the Cowboys on the first day.
