Memorial services will be at a later date.
Martin (Marty) George Bido was born June 21, 1964, in Los Angeles. He lived in California until the late 1970s when he moved with his family to Lander. He made his home in Lander for the remainder of his life.
His work was often hard and he spent many days in rugged oil fields and construction sites.
His family said he found his passion and calling in the kitchen. In both restaurants and catering, Mr. Bido found joy in creating food and visiting with those who enjoyed it. They said cooking was never work for him, and he spent hours preparing meals for his family and friends.
His family said he recognized the beauty of Wyoming and celebrated it by hunting, fishing and four-wheeling in its great expanses.
He also loved music and filled his evenings bowling and playing pool and card games.
He is survived by his daughter, Christi Swaby; mother Marlene Pewitt; sisters Missy Dawson, DeeDee Wheeler and Pat Bido; nieces Jennie Bido and Elizabeth Bido; nephews Adam Bido and Josh Bido; aunts Rose Bido and Mimi Nagurzian; uncle Emil Bido; great-niece Katherin West; and great-nephew Cody West.
He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Bido, and his brother, Joseph Bido.
