DeVon Elaine Bodan, of Casper, died Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2013, at home. She was 48 years old.

Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 2, at Hudson's Funeral Home in Lander. Burial will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery.

DeVon Elaine Bodan was born Feb. 20, 1965, in Lander, with her twin brother, Darren, to Sherry and Duane Bodan.

She graduated from Lander Valley High School and later Casper College where she graduated with honors with a degree in registered nursing. She worked all of her adult life as a nurse. Her career began at Natrona County Memorial Hospital. She later worked at Casper Orthopedics and was employed by Casper Surgical Center at the time of her death.

Her family said she was known for always being kind and compassionate to her patients. They also said that over the years she had developed a love for travel, and she especially enjoyed planning, taking trips with her parents and close friends, and growing flowers of all types. She enjoyed taking care of her pets, home and yard. Her family said all who knew her would say she had beautiful eyes and a smile to match, and she was much loved and will be deeply missed by all.

She is survived by her parents, Duane and Sherry Bodan, of Lander; brother Darren Bodan of Casper; nieces Tahna Bodan of Independence, Mo., and Janea (Paul) Livingston of Wichita, Kan., and their children Cayson and Dayton; nephew Trevor Bodan of Lee's Summit, Mo.; uncle Randy (Kerry) Stenson of Highland, Utah; grandmother Ruth Andrews of Lander; and dear friend Gina Kirchnavy of Casper.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Joyce and Emerson Bodan, Swede Stenson and Kent Andrews.
