Dec 10, 2013 - StaffRose Mae Shepardson, of Lander, died Saturday, Nov. 30, 2013. She was 88 years old.
Per her request, cremation has taken place, and there will be no services.
Rose Mae Shepardson was born May 15, 1925, in Oak Creek, Colo., the daughter of Henry and Sally Cassingham.
She first married Claude (Bud) Moore. Several years after he died, she married Byron Shepardson, to whom she was married until he died in 1992.
She provided child care in her home for many years and later worked as head housekeeper at the Maverick Motel.
Her family said she enjoyed embroidery, gardening, hunting and spending time with her family and friends. She was fond of her pets and always offered comfort to stray animals in her neighborhood.
She is survived by her children, Yogondia and her husband Robert Potts of Riverton, Gary Moore and his wife Pat of Riverton, Marcy and her husband Joe Dickinson of Lander and Ross Moore of Lander; grandchildren Michael, Raymond, Robert, Earl, Byron, Troy, Joe, Shannon, Shane, Rick, Robert, Josh, Amber and Mary; 28 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister Marie (Cassingham) and her husband Richard Hays; husbands Claude (Bud) and Byron; an infant daughter; and granddaughter Betty Rose.
