Dec 10, 2013 - StaffDaniel Lee "Danny" Brown, of Fort Washakie, died Saturday, Dec. 7, 2013, in Lander. He was 47 years old.
Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 11, and will continue through the night at Rocky Mountain Hall in Fort Washakie. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 12, at Rocky Mountain Hall. Burial will follow in Sacajawea Cemetery.
Daniel Lee "Danny" Brown was born April 18, 1967, in Thermopolis, the son of Norma Tidzump Brown.
Danny went to the Fort Washakie Elementary School then to Chemawa Indian School in Oregon.
His family said he enjoyed listening to music, being with family and friends and shooting basketball, his favorite team being the L.A. Lakers.
He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Norma and Bernadino Medina of Thornton, Colo.; brother David D. Medina of Thornton, Colo.; sister Edwina D. Brown of Thornton, Colo.; uncle Wesley Tidzump of Fort Washakie; aunts Dolores Tidzump, Delane Gould and Donna Wesaw, all of Fort Washakie, and Theresa Whiteman of Boulder Flats; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Luke and Bessie Tidzump; siblings Marlys and Patrick Stacey; uncles Ivan Tidzump, Walter Tidzump and Jimmy Brawley; aunt Brenda Oldman; grandmothers Marjorie Tillman and Lizzie Panzatanga; and grandfather Robert Hebah.
