Dec 13, 2013 - By Randy Tucker, Sports WriterDubois survived a furious fourth-quarter rally by Wind River to take an entertaining 56-53 win over the Cougars at home Thursday night. The win improves the Rams to 3-1 on the season, while the Cougars drop to 0-4 with the loss.
Wind River travels to Cowley on Saturday to play Rocky Mountain, while Dubois hosts Farson-Eden on Saturday afternoon.
Dubois built a huge lead in the second period behind a 20-point outburst to lead the visiting Cougars 28-16 at the half.

Dubois exchanged baskets throughout the third, but fatigue and a pace favoring the quicker Cougars took its toll in the final minutes.
With just two minutes left in the contest, Wind River closed to a one-point margin, but the Rams recovered and held on for the win.
Austin Tharp and Colter Leseberg tallied 19 each to pace Dubois. Tharp's points came in the paint, where he used his 6-5 height advantage to pound away at the smaller Cougars. Leseberg scored on a pair of 3-pointers and quick drives to go with 7-14 free-throw shooting for his 19 points.Walker Carrico hit 10 in the paint as well.
Wind River's sophomore-laden lineup hit six 3-pointers in the game with Delshay Roanhorse paced the effort with 18 points. Caleb C'Bearing tallied 17 for Wind River.
