Wyoming Association of Municipalities names new director

CASPER --The Wyoming Association of Municipalities has hired a new executive director.

The association has hired Shelley Simonton to succeed George Parks. He will retire in January after fifteen years leading the organization.

Simonton will oversee legislative lobbying for the association as well as manage its educational and administrative activities. The association works to secure funding and other support for Wyoming cities and towns.

Simonton previously worked as executive director of the Jackson Hole Energy Sustainability Project.
