Eleanor "Ellie" Lindell, of Riverton, died Tuesday, Dec. 17, at her home. She was 74 years old.
Per her request, cremation has taken place, and there will be no services.
Eleanor Anne Knight was born July 8, 1939, in Bath, Maine, the daughter of Maurice Jewett and Eleanor Lorraine (McAllister) Knight. She spent her school years in Maine.
On Oct. 25, 1958, she married Emil C. Lindell at the Carliss Street Baptist Church in Bath, Maine. Together they raised two children, Charles and Lorraine.
The family lived in Pacheco, Calif., Longmont, Colo., and East Helena, Mont., before moving to Riverton in 2004.
She was a stay-at-home mother and homemaker. She was also a member of the Eastern Star and Daughters of the Nile.
Her family said she enjoyed tole painting, rock hunting, camping, traveling and reading.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Emil C. Lindell of Riverton; son Charles E. (Penny) Lindell of Rock Springs; daughter Lorraine M. (Steven) Jacobs of Rock Springs; grandchildren Tracy (Clint) Stowers of Bessemen, Ala., Becky Peruti of Arvada, Colo., Rodrick Jacobs of Brighton, Colo., and Kenneth Lindell of Rock Springs; and great-grandchildren Aaron Stowers, Joshua Stowers, Sara Stowers and Cailynne Peruti.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Maurice and Eleanor Knight; brothers Maurice Knight and Paul Knight; grandparents; and numerous aunts and uncles.
