Most people probably would not mind a higher tax on beer

Dec 19, 2013 - Trey Landsdoun, Riverton

Editor:

The Riverton mayor wants the state to raise the tax on beer. I think this would be all right with most people. I would guess that most people who buy a six-pack have no idea what the state tax on beer even is. There are so many different kinds of beer, and the price range is huge. That would still be true.

I knock back a few beers a month, and I still would if the tax were higher. And if the money could be used to do something about our alcohol problems, we would be better off.
