Dec 21, 2013 - StaffGermaine M. Wayt died Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2013, at her home in Lander. She was 86 years old.
She was born Jan. 26, 1927, in Kennan, Wis., the daughter of Kerry Timmers.
In 1955, she married William R. Wayt, and she relocated to Lander in 1967 with her family.
Her family said that for several years she worked for and enjoyed caring for residents at the Wyoming State Training School.
She later moved to Lorenzo, Neb., with her husband and continued to be a caregiver in that community until her retirement.
She returned to Lander this year to be with her family.
They said she enjoyed traveling, watching old movies, reading and being with her family.
She is survived by her children, Wayne (Pam) Wayt of Lander, Glen Wayt of Casper and Mark Wayt of Shoshoni; siblings Ruth (Vic) Pignatari of Wisconsin, Helen (Orville) Krings of Wisconsin, Marie Foss of Wisconsin and Butch Krell of Wisconsin; five grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William R. Wayt.
