Terry was born Nov. 6, 1962, in Gillette, the son of Thomas Mack and Judy (Hilderman) Davis.
Following his graduation in 1981 from Worland High School, Mr. Davis served his country in the Navy. During his enlistment he toured in China, Guam, the Philippines and was stationed in the Persian Gulf.
When he returned to Wyoming, he went to work on the pipelines in Pinedale. It was there that he met his lifetime love, Sherri Michael Hinderliter. They married July 18, 1987.
The couple lived and worked in Phoenix and Gillette, eventually returning to Worland and establishing their home in Winchester in 1989.
Mr. Davis worked for Dunbar, Updike Bros., and managed Key Energy for 12 years and Stride Oil Company for one year. In 2004, he started his own company, Winchester Well Service and Terry & Josh Davis Consulting in 2013. His crew was his second family, and he enjoyed working with them in the field.
His family said he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and working on all types of motors, especially derby cars. He enjoyed visiting his neighbors, Andy White in particular, in Winchester. He especially enjoyed Fourth of July celebrations and waking up Winchester with the sound of fireworks throughout the year. He also loved watching Miami Dolphins football.
Family meant the most to Mr. Davis. He and his wife worked hard and played hard, side by side, for 26 years. His children, Josh, Morgan and Shay, were his pride and joy, and time with his grandsons was always well spent, whether it was spent playing, riding on the tractor or backhoe together, or just fishing.
