Apr 8, 2012 - By Martin Reed, Staff WriterPavillion Town Council members on April 2 unanimously selectied Danette Williams to fill a void left by Andrea Smith who announced her resignation in February.
Pavillion Mayor Gary Hamlin on Wednesday said Smith resigned due to health and other reasons.
The council received two applicants: one from Williams and another from Mel Larsen, Hamlin said.
"We're looking forward to Danette serving on the council and we thank her for her commitment to public service. And we believe she will be a great addition," he said.
Williams will serve through the end of the year and her seat will be on the ballot for this year's general election in November.
