Jan 8, 2014 - Staff

Charlie Walter Davison died Friday, Jan. 3, 2014. He was 62 years old.

A celebration of life service will be at 6 p.m. Friday, Jan. 10, at the Eagles Hall in Riverton.

Charlie Walter Davison was born April 9, 1951, in Riverton, the son of Gideon and Mabel Davison.

He spent his life farming, ranching and raising a family. He married Jane (Main) Davison in 1974, and they had four daughters.

His family said he took pleasure in his work, loved to ride horses, could always seen with a dog by his side, and made a habit of collecting unique rocks. They said his generosity knew no bounds, and he often put his own work aside to help a friend or neighbor in need of a hand.

Throughout his life, he was a member of the Wyoming Stockgrowers Association, the Riverton Jaycee's, Riverton Valley Irrigation District and Missouri Valley Fire Department.

His family said he enjoyed hunting, fishing and riding four-wheelers, but his greatest love was his family.

He is survived by his wife, Jane (Main) Davison; daughters Misty Wilson and her husband Damon, Stephanie Shoopman and her husband Shane, Stacie Lincoln and her husband Kyle and Jacque Palazzolo and her husband Joseph; brother Bruce and his wife Karen; sisters Mary Jo Poffenroth and her husband Ray, Geraldine Rascon and her husband Oscar and Helen Neil; grandchildren Alex and Kevin Hahn, Sophie Wilson, Shayla, Sheldon, Seston and Sharae Shoopman, Sheyenne and Kaden Lincoln, and Isabella and Nataliya Palazzolo; and multiple nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Gideon and Mabel Davison.

Flowers and condolences may be sent to 595 Big Bend Ave. in care of Val Haskins. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
