CASPER --A family that has provided a home to more than 50 foster children from Natrona County over the last six years is being honored with a national award.

Gov. Matt Mead will present Kristen and Steve Marler and their nine children with the 2013 Adoption Excellence Award on Friday. It's an honor given out through a branch of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

The Marlers live on Casper Mountain. The couple has three biological children and six adopted children.
