Barbara Person Malischewski

Barbara Person Malischewski died Sunday, Jan. 12, 2014, at Lander Memorial Hospital after a lengthy illness. She was 67 years old.

Cremation has taken place, and a memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 25, at Lander United Methodist Church.

Barbara Malischewski was born May 4, 1947, in South Williamsport, Pa., the daughter of Melvin and Alice Person. She has two brothers, Carl Person of Monroe, Mich., and Robert and Marlone Person of South Williamsport, Pa.

She graduated from South Williamsport High School and Williamsport Business School.

She worked as a legal secretary.

After moving to Lander with her husband, William, she worked for Rick and Monica Sollars at Western Law Associates.

She and her husband were married for 37 years and raised six children together.

She was a lifetime member of Heston Methodist Church in Cogan Station, Pa., and Lander Methodist Church.

She is survived by 18 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
