Jan 24, 2014 - Tracy Morrin, RivertonEditor:
I was touched by an unexpected act of kindness recently. I was in a store the previous week to get some little books to send to my twin granddaughters, so their daddy, who just got back from a nine-month deployment in the Middle East, could read to them.
I saw a Wyoming sweatshirt at the same time to send to my son, but I didn't have enough money on me to buy it at that time.
I stopped back in later to check on a magazine article I have been looking for. The young ladies at the store gifted me with the sweatshirt I previously was looking at, to thank my son for his service.
Their act of kindness brought tears to my eyes and such a warmth to my heart. Their kindness will not be forgotten.
May we all spread a little kindness like these young ladies did, throughout our lives. Kindness does matter -- to those who receive it and those who give it. I'm blessed to live in a town of caring people.
