Recently I was scheduled to take a plane from Denver to Riverton. The flight was canceled by Great Lakes Airlines, which left us unable to leave until Tuesday morning.
To the parents and grandparents of these young people on that flight, I want to tell you that you have raised some exceptional young people. We met out in the cold waiting for the shuttle to take us to the hotel, and these kids decided that we would stay "in a pack" and made sure everyone was safe.
We met for breakfast the next morning, went through security together, and finally flew out at 10:30 a.m. for Riverton. I really don't know what I would've done by myself. I am very appreciative of these fine travelers I met that night.
