Event for writers was well done and well received

Jan 30, 2014 Carol Deering, Riverton

I'd like to say how much I enjoyed reading at the Westword Writers "Winter Gathering of Words" at the Riverton Branch Library on Jan. 23.

I believe all the other members who read that night, some for the first time, also enjoyed themselves: Wyoming Poet Laureate Echo Klaproth, Diana Allen Kouris, Jill Miller, Betty Starks Case, Teri Wiblemo and Carole Genero.

And thanks to Alejandra Silva for the excellent article on this, the very next day.

Just one thing: The group formed this past summer as a result of last spring's One County/Many Voices events (a series of writing, reading, workshop and display happenings I pulled together as a regional event while on the Wyoming Writers board).

The series was supported in part by the Central Wyoming College Diversity Committee.

Because those events were well received, Westword Writers plans to be involved this year.
