Feb 3, 2014 - From staff reportsThe Shoshone National Forest is looking for a dedicated, hardworking, highly capable workforce for the summer.
Forest managers will fill temporary, seasonal positions in a variety of specialized areas, including range management, recreation, engineering, wildlife, botany, hydrology, fisheries, administration and fire.
Vacancy announcements for Shoshone National Forest temporary jobs will be posted by Monday at http://www.fs.usda.gov/shoshone/. Deadlines for completing and submitting applications vary. Some applications are due as early as Feb. 14 with others due later.
The jobs pay $11.95 and up per hour, depending on the position.
Positions will be filled at the Wapiti Ranger District in Cody, the Washakie Ranger District in Lander and the Wind River Ranger District in Dubois. Some employees may work at remote stations throughout the Shoshone. Temporary employees normally begin work in May or June, work through the summer season and end around Labor Day.
