Feb 7, 2014 - StaffRebecca R. "Becky" Campbell, of Riverton, died Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2014, at her home. She was 61 years old.
A rosary will be at 7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 10, at Davis Funeral Home. A funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 11, at St. Stephen's Catholic Church with burial to follow at Mountain View Cemetery.
Rebecca Rae Galles was born May 18, 1952, in Riverton, the daughter of William and Wyoma (Wiseflog) Galles. She was a lifelong resident of Riverton, graduating from Riverton High School and the University of Wyoming.
On July 22, 1973, she married Steven E. Campbell at St. Margaret's Catholic Church in Riverton.
The couple were members of the St. Stephen's Catholic Church where they were active in many parish functions and helped with the angel tree.
Mrs. Campbell worked at the James H. Moore Career Center where she organized career courses for the school district. She later taught fourth-, fifth- and sixth-grade math courses at Jefferson Elementary until she became ill in May 1989.
Her family said she enjoyed the family cabin and their tradition of snowmobiling every year above Lander to get a Christmas tree. They said she enjoyed sewing, decorating and doing crafts with her mother-in-law and working on the family farm where they raised sheep. She had been a 4-H leader for the "Sage Brush Kids."
She is survived by her husband, Steve Campbell, of Riverton; sons Joe Campbell and his wife Carol of Orlando, Fla., and Marty Campbell and his wife Kathy of Bozeman, Mont.; daughter Katie Main and her husband Everett of Riverton; grandchildren Bryant, Cameron, Cami, Haley, Jack, Grant, Alma, Ryan and Stephanie; and brothers Brent Galles and his wife Kim and Tom Galles of Riverton.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
