Feb 11, 2014 - StaffThe Fremont County Cattlemen's Association had its winter meeting 40 years ago on this date, electing a new board of directors while keeping one familiar face on as well for guidance and institutional memory.
The association provides a cooperative platform fro beef produces to advance issues important to their industry through work with legislators, local governments, educators and other agricultural segments for the benefit of Fremont County.
Elected president of the county association was Bill Ruby of Lander. Jack Scarlett, also of Lander, was the new vice president. Joining them on the board were secretary-treasurer Jack Corbitt of the Sweetwater region, and immediate past president Tom Graham, who also ranched the Sweetwater area.
