Dent leads Wyoming Cowgirls past UNLV

Feb 11, 2014 - From staff reports

Sophomore Marquelle Dent recorded her second straight double-figure scoring game to lead the Wyoming basketball team to a dominate 82-56 win over the UNLV Lady Rebels on Saturday afternoon. The Cowgirls are now 15-6 overall on the season and 6-4 in the Mountain West while the Lady Rebels fall to 9-14 overall and 6-5 in league play.

"It was definitely a consistent effort by this team tonight," said head coach Joe Legerski. "Marquelle got us off to a great start. She is very difficult to handle in the open court and when she can make that 12-15 foot jump shot you see her confidence grow. She can get things going in the transition and with the shooters on the side it's difficult for a defense to handle. We settled in and had to start rebounding. It's getting common to see a double-double from Fallon Lewis. I know how hard she works and was in a bit of foul trouble today.
