RHS teams face Natrona in Casper

Feb 19, 2014 - By Craig Blumenshine, Staff Writer

The Riverton Wolverines girls and boys basketball teams will try to keep their Class 4-A West Conference records above .500 Thursday night when they travel to play the Casper Natrona Fillies and Mustangs.

Games time is set for 6 p.m. for the girls game at Natrona County High school, with the boys game to follow at 7:30 p.m.

The Natrona girls are a perfect 7-0 in conference standings, and all other teams have at least three league losses.

Earlier this year, the Fillies ran past the Lady Wolverines 46-24 in Riverton.

The Natrona boys are the fifth-ranked team in statewide media polling.

The Mustangs edged Riverton 40-39 earlier this year in Wolverine Gym. Natrona's Class 4-A West record is 5-2, just behind conference leader Kelly Walsh, which has a 6-1 Class 4-A West record.

Both games Thursday will be broadcast live on KTAK radio, 93.9 FM.

After Thursday's road game, both teams will be at home Saturday, when they host Casper Kelly Walsh.

Game time Saturday is 1 p.m. for the girls game, with the boys game to follow at 2:30 p.m.
