ANESI

Funeral services for Annie Jean Anesi, 90, of Lander, are at 10 a.m. Friday, April 13, at the Chapel of Mount Hope, Hudson's Funeral Home, in Lander. Mrs. Anesi died Sunday, April 8. Memorials may be made to Amedisys Hospice, 716 College View Drive, Riverton, WY 82501.

BURROUGHS

Harold J. "Harry" Burroughs, 84, of Lander, died Sunday, April 1, at the Help for Health Hospice Home in Riverton. Memorial services are at 3 p.m. Saturday, April 14, at the Lander Church of Christ.

CARSON

Duane E. Carson, 80, of Anchorage, Alaska, died Tuesday, April 10, at the home of his son, Dean Carson, in Riverton. According to his wishes, cremation will take place and a memorial will be placed in the Fort Richardson National Cemetery in Alaska. Online condolences may be made at www.theDavisFuneralHome.com.

DANNALDSON

Bruce E. Dannaldson, 62, died Wednesday, March 28, following a long illness. Among his survivors is his wife Katie of Shoshoni.

HIXSON

Funeral services for Margaret L. "Peggy" Hixson, 72, of Pavillion, are at 1 p.m. Friday, April 13, at 105 W. Pavillion Road, Pavillion. Her six daughters will give the eulogy. HORTON

Michael D. Horton, 32, died Monday, April 9, at his home in Riverton. A memorial service is at 11 a.m. Monday, April 16, at the Faith Lutheran Church in Sinks Canyon, Lander. Memorials may be made for the benefit of his daughter to the Amanda Horton Fund, in care of Shannon Horton, 2228 N. Second St., Lander, WY 82520.

MILLER

Funeral services for Ruby P. Miller, 82, of Arapahoe, are at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 14, at the Davis Funeral Home of Riverton. Interment follows at the Collins Cemetery. Viewing is from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Saturday, preceding the funeral service. Mrs. Miller died Sunday, April 8, at the Poudre Valley Hospital in Fort Collins, Colo. Community calendar

APRIL 12

"Film: My Life As a Turkey" is at 7 p.m. in the Little Theater at the Lander Library, 200 Amoretti St. Documentary features Joe Hutto and his unique experience raising "wild" turkeys. Hutto will be available to answer questions after the showing. The film is part of the Earth Day Film Series.

APRIL 13

Gardening and Backyard Living Expo is from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Lander Community Center, 950 Buena Vista Drive, Lander. The Expo will feature two main venues: vendor booths and educational breakout sessions. Vendor booths will display the latest and greatest offerings of information and items that will help folks enjoy their gardens and backyards. Eight workshops will promote conservation. The workshops will begin each hour and run for roughly 45 minutes. Younger attendees can participate in the "Kids Corner." Rocky Mountain Rebels will display their classic cars, hot rods and stunning new cars. There will be a drawing for a ball and burlap tree for those who attend.

Show Us Humanity Literary and Art Contest Reception is 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the Intertribal Education and Community Center at Central Wyoming College.

Jazz Night III is 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Robert A. Peck Arts Center Theatre at Central Wyoming College. Event is free.

Emergency calls

In Riverton police reports from Wednesday to Thursday morning:

- Loveda Bell, 32, of Lander, was arrested for public intoxication.

- Kincaid Duran, 42, of Riverton, was arrested on warrants for failure to appear.

- Cheryl Eagle, 30, of Riverton, was arrested on warrants for failure to appear.

- Police responded to Jaycee Park at 9:58 a.m. on Wednesday and made contact with three individuals police believed were intoxicated and smashing beer bottles at the playground area. Those arrested were: Vernaldo Dodge, 35, of Lander, for interference and warrants; Theodore Bell, 29, of Arapahoe, for interference and warrants; and Francis Addison, 33, of Riverton, for a Hot Springs County Warrant.

In Fremont County Sheriff's reports from Wednesday to Thursday morning:

- Jake Anderson, 24, of Lander, was arrested on a warrant arrest for felony driving under the influence.

- Hayes Goggles, 46, of Riverton, was arrested for failure to appear.

- Linh Nguyen, 23, of Arapahoe, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver.
