Feb 25, 2014 - The Associated Press

CHEYENNE -- Developments at the Wyoming Legislature on the 11th day of the 2014 Budget Session:

80 MPH SPEED LIMIT: The House for the third time approved a bill that would allow increasing the speed limit to 80 mph on certain stretches of interstate highway. The bill went to the Senate.

FISHING: The House for the third time approved to a bill that would call on the state game commission to set regulations allowing people to fish with the use of artificial light. The bill went to the Senate.

INVOLUNTARY HOSPITALIZATIONS: The Senate voted down a bill that would have changed state law regarding the process for evaluating people hospitalized for mental health reasons. The Senate voted it down after hearing criticism from some Senators who objected to lengthening the amount of time a person could be held before their detention was reviewed in court.

FIRES: The House for the third time approved a bill that would make it a misdemeanor for a person to abandon a fire they were responsible for.

EXONERATED INMATES: The Senate for the second time voted to approve a bill that spells out how the state would compensate people who have served time in prison before they're exonerated by DNA evidence.

GRAND TETON LAND: The Senate for the second time voted to approve a bill that would authorize the state board of land commissioners to exchange parcels of state land within Grand Teton National Park for parcels of federal land elsewhere.
