Prizes, raffles highlight annual Shamrock Shindig fundraiser
Mar 3, 2014 - From staff reports
Lander's Shamrock Shindig on Saturday will offer each attendee a chance to win a "pot of gold" containing a 1-ounce gold coin valued at $1,300.
The event is in its third year and will be at the Inn at Lander, 260 Grandview Drive. Festivities begin at 5:30 p.m.
Proceeds from the shindig will benefit the Lander Community Center and other Lander Rotary projects.
The "casual evening" will offer other prizes as well, including a $500 cash prize and other, smaller cash drawings that will pay out a total of $1,000. Other awards include gift certificates and autographed books.
Included in each $50 ticket is a chance in the shamrock raffle, hors d' oeuvres, one ticket for beer or wine, a catered dinner, desserts, music by the Low Water String Band, dancing and auctions. A cash bar also will be available.
Seating is limited and a sellout crowd is expected. Get a ticket from any Lander Rotary member or call Mike Lilygren at 840-3131.
