County's museums 'sure need something'

Mar 3, 2014 - Marlene Stefanson, Lander

Editor:

I was disappointed to read about the "central museum director" position again for the county museums. I was hoping it might have gone away. Still think it is a bad idea, but I hope it might never happen now, because the museum situation is such a mess that it will be hard to find somebody good who wants it.

One thing is for certain, the museums sure need something better than they are getting now. Everything went pretty smoothly for so long, but now the last 10 years or more have pretty much been chaos.

I know the county commissioners are busy people with a big job. But they need to step in pretty soon if this confusion and bickering keeps up. The museums and the people who care about the museums are not being treated well.
