Myrtle Lorraine Hanson

Myrtle Lorraine Hanson, of Lander, died Monday, March 3, 2014, at Westward Heights Care Center in Lander. She was 89 years old.

A memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 8, at Bethel Lutheran Church in Lander with Pastor Fred Schroeder officiating.

Myrtle Lorraine Myrvik (Hanson) was born in Edmore, N.D., the daughter of Nils and Olga (Sandahl) Myrvik.

On Jan. 5, 1944, she married Clinton Hanson Sr. in York, Neb. The couple had three sons.

She worked as the head cook at South Grade School in Lander for 24 years. She retired in 1985.

She is survived by her husband, Clinton Sr., of Lander; sons Clinton Jr. and his wife Mary of Lander, Colin and his wife Barbara of Riverton, and Clark and his wife Kathy of Lander; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
