Mar 7, 2014 - StaffHelen Dobson, of Riverton, died Sunday, March 2, 2014, at Thermopolis Rehab and Care Center. She was 91 years old.

Helen Anita Schellsmidt was born July 24, 1921, in Denver, the daughter of Robert and Mae Estelle (Windsor) Schellsmidt. She was one of four children. She had a brother, Frank, and two sisters, Mable and Edna. She was raised in Billings, Mont.
She worked at Worland Cleaners before moving to Montana. She opened her own laundromat business in Missoula, Mont., and then in Bozeman, Mont. She lived in Bozeman, Mont., before moving to Riverton.
In Bozeman, Mont., she was involved in the Eagles Club.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Her family said she enjoyed collecting rocks and started a junior rock club in Bozeman, Mont. She managed and ran the junior rock club in Missoula, Mont., and she also belonged to rock clubs wherever she lived.
She is survived by her loving companion of 30 years, Alan M. Freese; daughter Wanita F. Cornett; grandchildren Annita Marie McWilliams, Heath Jr. Cornett, Claudia D. Cornett and Brett Thompson; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Mae Schellsmidt; first husband Oscar Leon Floyd; second husband Robert Dobson; brother Frank; and sisters Mable and Edna.
Arrangements are under the direction of Davis Funeral Home of Riverton.
