County Dems to meet Saturday

The Fremont County Democratic Party will have its 2014 Convention on Saturday at the Lander Library. The convention will begin at 10 a.m.

While all members of the public are welcome to attend, only registered Democrats may vote on convention business.

The convention will elect delegates to represent Fremont County at the Wyoming Democratic Party State Convention on May 16 and May 17 in Rock Springs. The Fremont County platform for 2014-2016 will be presented, debated and adopted.

GOPR00;sets 2014 Convention date

The Fremont County Republican Party will begin its 2014 Convention at 9 a.m. Saturday in the Fremont Center at the Fremont County Fairgrounds in Riverton.

All delegates and alternates have received announcement letters, but any registered Republican is welcome to attend the convention. The registration fee is $15.

The bylaws, platforms and resolutions that will be discussed will be available Tuesday at www.fremontcountygop.com.

Forest public meetings rescheduled

The Shoshone National Forest has rescheduled the previously postponed public meetings regarding the release of the revised land management plan, final environmental impact statement and draft record of decision.

The meetings will be at 5 p.m. at the following locations:

- Monday at the Headwaters Arts and Conference Center, 20 Stalnaker St., Dubois;

- Tuesday in the Monarch Hall at the Pronghorn Lodge, 150 E. Main St., Lander.
