Mar 18, 2014 - From staff reportsThe asphalt driving surface of Riverview Road between Augusta Drive and Rein Road is scheduled to be removed Wednesday and Thursday as part of continuing highway improvements on the $2.8 million project in Riverton.
"Citizens should expect traffic delays of up to 15 minutes during rotomilling, and single-lane traffic will be led through the project by pilot vehicles," said Wyoming Department of Transportation resident engineer Robert Scheidemantel of Riverton.
Removal of the asphalt driving surface is necessary to allow prime contractor Jerry Bornhoft Construction, Inc., to continue installing water and sanitary sewer lines under the existing roadway.
The contractor also is continuing its work near the new Riverton Valley Irrigation District canal crossing, which the contractor is scheduled to finish around April 1.
Working hours of Bornhoft Construction are 6:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Traffic will be allowed to pass through the project from 6:30 a.m. to 8 a.m. without being stopped by flaggers. During the remainder of the work day, travelers may see traffic delays of up to 15 minutes.
