Mar 19, 2014 - From staff reportsThe Wyoming film office is seeking submissions for the seventh annual Wyoming Short Film Contest.
A $25,000 prize will be awarded to the winning entry with a storyline that takes place in Wyoming, features Wyoming or presents the state as a major character.
The contest will begin with a public vote/juror round, narrowing the field down to 10 finalists. From there, a judging panel made up of film production, visual arts and industry representatives will select the winner based on criteria including cinematography, screenplay, acting, sound design, editing and overall production value.
Filmmakers can submit their videos at www.wyomingshortfilmcontest.com/. The deadline is April 4. The grand prize winner will be announced May 2.
